There are many beautiful spots around the island of Oahu for a wedding. Beaches and parks, mountains and palm trees make lovely backdrops for the exchange of marriage vows.
Some areas charge a fee for the use of their facilities, and some parks have an entry fee. Other areas are open to the public at no charge. Some places have hours the area can be used, and some places are safer during the day. Spectacular waterfalls are not easily accessible, although arrangements can be made.
Of course, many areas have lots of tourists involved with various activities, making it difficult to find an intimate spot for a wedding. Other areas are popular with the local folk (but not well known with our visitors!) and provide a more personal, romantic setting.
Often requested ares for an intimate wedding include Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden for a greenery area, and Kailua & Lanikai Beaches. All are on Windward Oahu, relatively quiet, easily accessible and have no fee associated with their use. They're quite popular as wedding sites, and are almost unknown to tourists. Close to Waikiki is Magic Island, also popular; parking can be a challenge..
