Both were accomplished in their fields. It took a few weeks after their first meeting, but they eventually started dating. It was true love and a beginning of a wonderful relationship. Five years later, in the Fall , Rudy proposed to Kellan while on a cliff overlooking the Hudson river, facing Manhattan. She happily accepted Rudy’s proposal. Kellan says she was lucky she didn’t fall over the cliff! The wedding date was set for the spring . They planned an intimate wedding on the North Shore of Oahu, where Rudy grew up surfing. That made it a very special place for their wedding, where Rudy’s family still lives. Family and friends were delighted to come such a beautiful place to celebrate their union. Together, they researched and found an amazing team of people: the officiant Linda of MarriageInHawaii.com, as well as a wonderful musician and caterer.

The ceremony was set on the lawn of their cottage overlooking Sunset Beach on a beautiful Hawaiian day. The guests were seated for this joyous occasion on decorated chairs, and extra touches all around added to the beauty of the setting. Although there was a brief moment of rain before the bride made her entrance, she had learned it was a blessing by the Gods, their tears falling from the sky. As the ceremony began, Rudy’s cousins danced a hula, and the Hawaiian Wedding song was sung by a friend and the band. Linda led a perfect ceremony celebrating the love and commitment Kellan and Rudy share, and continue toward. Rudy and Kellan said their vows in love and honor. Linda helped them take in the moments of the wedding some may forget: the sound of the ocean, the tears of joy, and the beauty of friends and family gathered. After they were pronounced husband and wife, they kissed and walked down the isle with petals cascading around. It was glorious! The wedding party escaped down to the beach to have a private champagne toast, then everyone celebrated into an evening full of music, dancing and great food.

“Mahalo to all |
Rudy and Kellan honeymooned in Maui on the beautiful Ka’anapali Beach. Their favorite part was the road to Hana and the Seven Sacred Pools. They had the most amazing time from the moment they stepped foot on the island until they flew out. Their wedding will be remembered by all, and the love and happiness they all shared that day. |
