after your marriage
Certificate of Marriage
Your Certificate of Marriage is legal proof of your marriage. It is issued by the State of Hawaii three to four months after the wedding. For a nominal fee you can request to expedite the process, to receive the license three to four weeks after the wedding.
Your marriage officiant will fulfill her responsibility with the license, then deliver it to the Hawaii Marriage License Office. Once at this state office, it will be processed: recorded, signed and documented, the the certificate issued.
